If you like Sauteed mushrooms and onions as much as I do then you will LOVE this recipe. I found this one a few weeks ago when I was looking for a new dip recipe for the party. I made it for a test run first for Andrew and he was obsessed and then decided to make it on Saturday for Sawyer's birthday party. It's a rich and heavenly dip!

Mushroom Dip
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 TB garlic salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese

  • - Preheat oven to 375 degrees FΒ
  • - Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the mushrooms and onion, and cook until tender. Sprinkle with the flour. Reduce heat to low, and continue cooking 5 minutes. Mix in sour cream and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Mix in the 1/2 of the parmesan cheese and then transfer to a small casserole dish, and top with Parmesan cheese.
  • - Bake 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until bubbly.

Because this is so rich definitely serve this with crackers (wheat thins are good along with this dip)

Ya'll have a Yummy Monday!
