I just got back from Little Rock where I spent a few days with my sisters and all the kiddos. Brooke and Jennie are two of my favorite people in the whole world. We live all over the U.S. but when we get together it's like we have never spent time apart.
There is something so special about sisters. I seriously wish everyone had a sister because it is something that I can't put into words. The relationship I have with them is challenging yet it's one of the most comfortable relationships I have. When we get together we share so much laughter and funny moments but we also get to the deep stuff and we share tears and sadness with one another. I am so comforted to know that these two women will always be 100% behind me no matter where life takes us.
Jennie is the oldest (sister on the right). She is a pastor's wife, a mom to three of the most beautiful hearted kids, she is a writer, a teacher of the Lord's word and now she is taking on the adventure of adopting my new nephew who is in Rwanda right now. I get so much sound wisdom from Jennie not only because she is my sister but mainly because she is living and breathing for our Lord and Savior every minute. She truly lives out the verse in Luke 9:23 where Jesus calls us to die to ourselves and take up the cross and follow Him with our lives. She is the living example of this verse. Jennie thank you for challenging me every time we talk. Your life is a testimony to so many and I truly hope I am half the woman you are one day.
Brooke a.k.a Brookie is my other older sister (on the left). She is a mom to three adorable babies ages 3 and under! Her and her husband are running Lost Valley Ranch in Colorado where she is raising her kids, loving on all the college staff and supporting her husband in his dream. She lives the most sacrificial life and I strive to be 1/2 the mom she is one day. She has always been the strongest of us all in my opinion (in a lot of areas). Her personality is so different from mine and because of that she challenges my thinking and she challenges every area of my life. I literally soak up any advice she sends my way because let's face it I could use all the help I can get! Brooke is one of the most amazing moms I have ever seen in action. The fact that she has three babies that close together and they are three of the most happy, well behaved and loving kids is a testimony to who she is as a mom. Brooke not only lives and breaths the word of God but she lives it out for everyone to see. I love you Brookie and Thank You for always staying true to yourself and true to what you believe. Your life and the way you live out your faith challenges me every time I am with you.
I can't even think about the fact that we will probably never all live in the same town because it truly grieves me. But I do focus on the fact that no matter how many miles are between us and our families I am confident that we will stay just as close and I know that we will continue to remain close through out the years. I am thankful that we always manage to find ways to see each other because I can not live with out you two. Love you both so much!
