These are some new cupcake toppers I just made for a client and I thought it would be fun to do a little "how to" so you all can see how easy these can be! I do have the cricut so it makes it a little easier when you own one to cut out all of these shapes.

I always start out by spreading out all my paper so I can figure out more of what I want the final product to look like. If you see on the right I had already designed and printed off the little boy's name with the "1" behind it. That was done on my print explosion software. I just purchase scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby or sometimes Michaels for the cricut.

You pick out your paper of choice and press it down on the cricut matte that comes with the machine. It is what feeds the paper into the machine.
Load the paper in the cricut
This is the key pad that has all the different shapes to choose from. You simply just press which shape you want to have cut out on the paper.
This is the size dial. For these cupcake toppers I set the square shape to 2 3/4".

This is what pops up on the screen so I can make sure it is the shape and size I need.

After I double check everything I press "cut" and....

This is what comes out! So fun isn't it? So easy! You peel back the scrap paper and then peel off the shapes you need.

So after I cut and print all the layers I need for the toppers. I gather my supplies for assembly. I buy lollipop sticks for most of my cupcake toppers, double stick tape, creative memory whole punch, and it's not pictured but I use a hot glue gun to glue the lollipop sticks on the topper.

First I punch out the inner printed circle with my creative memory whole punch. I use this thing all the time! It is a 1 1/2" circle and it is perfect for these kind of projects.
After they are punched out you simply layer the topper how you want. I use double stick tape to hold it all together and then use the hot glue gun to place the lollipop stick on the back of all the toppers.
And that's it! Pretty easy! If you don't have time to do this kind of thing yourself and want some for your next party, make sure and contact me and I'll get to work for you!
