Fall doesn't officially begin in our household until the first batch of pumpkin bread is made and that was finally what I did this weekend. I made one for us and our company and then one for our neighbors. This recipe is by far my favorite pumpkin bread recipe. You can't go wrong!
3 cups sugar
1 cup oil
1 (16 oz) pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3 1/2 cups flour
2 ts baking soda
2 ts salt
1 ts baking powder
1 ts ground nutmeg
1 ts allspice
1 ts cinnamon
1/2 ts ground cloves
- Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and pumpkin. Mix well.
- Add dry ingredients and water
- Pour mixture into two well greased and floured loaf pans.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 1- 1 1/2 hours or until toothpick comes out clean.
This makes for the perfect fall or christmas gifts for neighbors, coworkers or friends. I just wrapped mine up in some extra fall fabric I had left from another event and tied some orange raffia to finish it off. Super easy and a great way to say "Happy Fall" to the people you love!
